Intimate Spring Ceremony Overlooking Lake Dillon | Colorado Mountain Elopement Planner
Their Story
We met at a climbing gym in Parker. We love to ski/board, hike, anything outside and be with our dogs. We [had] been together for over 5 years and been engaged for 3. [It was] time : ).
Why did you choose to elope in the mountains?
I wish I could pinpoint exactly what draws us to the mountains but it's really everything. Our first date was a ski/board trip to Keystone. (He skis. I board.) We love the snow and spend as much time as possible there, but also appreciate a beautiful sunny day.
Sweet Details
- They got married on the same day of the year that they were engaged (only 3 years later...!).
- They literally tied the knot! Using climbing rope (because they met at a climbing gym), they included a knot tying ceremony within their ceremony.
- The couple brought along some special mementos to include in their day and photos like the groom's recently-passed dog's tag, to include him in their day, too.
- Their two dogs made a quick cameo at the end of the afternoon, totally stealing the show!
