{ REAL MOUNTAIN WEDDING } Lindsey + Jeff at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, Colorado. Featured in The Knot Magazine, Part Two.
We focused on the ceremony in Lindsey and Jeff's earlier post, and we'll now focus on the reception decor. This real Breckenridge wedding that, according to The Knot Magazine's online feature , is "playing off the vintage touches of the ski lodge and the breathtaking views. Lindsey and Jeff chose yellow, blue, green and white for their fresh color scheme."
Rachel Olsen Photography beautifully captured these images and is based out of Fort Collins, Colorado. This late August wedding was held on the ski slopes of Breckenridge Ski Resort, and is situated half-way up the ski hill, near the Falcon Chair, which gives access to one of my favorite runs on the hill, the Burn.
Rustic picture frames held table numbers while jars and different sized vases held a mix of colorful flowers. The room has tall ceilings and large windows that show the local mountain landscape and offer a high-altude wedding experience you can't get in-town.

One way that's very easy to make you mountain wedding green is to use rental items, such as glassware from the florist. The florist can also suggest linen resources that will bring out the most of the color design for the event, and will make it all look great. We'll be blogging about some new color tools we just found on our blog, so be sure to check back often for new ideas and online resources that we'll be sharing as they emerge!
Bouquets
Cupcakes remain very popular and appear to be at just as many weddings as those with cakes these days. We've also been seeing lots of candy buffets at mountain weddings, perhaps we should ask for some brides to be a bride tester for products and services... hmmm. Let us know if you're interested in trying out stuff and writing for our blog.
