{ REAL MOUNTAIN WEDDING } Q&A w/ Kate + Todd // Timber Ridge, Keystone Resort, Keystone, Colorado

Those wanting a true alpine experience should explore the options of Keystone Resort, specifically Alpenglow Stube and Timber Ridge.  The former is a smaller, intimate setting, where the latter is a grand room connected to an outside deck.  Either location you choose, you'll be treating your guests to two gondola rides on the way to your wedding, and they'll be talking about it for a long time.

This wedding was recently selected as a featured wedding in the Preview Issue of Luxe Mountain Weddings, which focuses on luxury weddings throughout the mountains.  We decided to follow up with this Rocky Mountain bride and groom and asked a few questions about their day.

Q:  What was your favorite / most memorable moment from your wedding?

A: "The whole concept of celebrating our wedding on a mountain top was amazing and incredibly unique. As for a favorite detail there are many to choose from but likely bringing out glow sticks/accessories and colorful boas towards the end of the night was a huge hit with our guests and really took the party to the next level. We got several compliments on this idea and a lot of “I am so stealing that for my wedding” declarations."

Q: Anything you would've done differently looking back?

A:  "No -- the whole weekend went amazing!"

Q: What resources / info / people were the most helpful when planning your wedding?

A: "The best part of getting married in Summit County, CO is that there are a few select wedding vendors – meaning they all know each other, respect each other and have worked together before for previous weddings which created an intimate, team feel to the whole wedding planning experience. I loved our vendors and the “team” was headed up by our amazing wedding planner Emily Campbell who was there to see to every detail."

"Petal and Bean and Pink Monkey really helped to create a setting that set the perfect tone for our wedding -- both beautiful and elegant and also rustic and fun!"

Q. What advice would you give to brides currently planning their mountain wedding?
A: "My advice for brides is to plan every detail ahead of time so that you show up for your wedding/wedding weekend and just have fun. I highly recommend hiring a day-of or weekend-of wedding coordinator to see to all the details so that you – and your family/wedding party – can just enjoy themselves. You should be having fun, not working!"
