Yellow Aspen Trees + Rocky Mountains // Photography by Kay Beaton

After a summer of weddings at our flower shop in Breckenridge, we get to enjoy fall a bit.  We still have weddings for the next few weeks before it really slows down, but the fall colors really motivate you to get out and enjoy the outdoors.  Dina rode around the lake and up to Montezuma, just outside of Keystone, and we talked about how that area would be great for a local photo session.

I sent Kay a message and asked her to take some photos of her backyard.  You see, Kay lives near Keystone, Colorado and per our request, captured some images for you all to enjoy.  Thanks Kay!  Oh, and she says that if you mention this "Fall Colors 2011" blog, she'll hook you up with a 10% savings.  Now, that's sweet!

I asked Kay for a few words to share about this time of the year and how it makes her feel...

"Fall in Summit County happens so darn fast.... one day the hills are ALIVE with color, and then they are gone. Freezing temperatures, shorter days, and less moisture all effect this beautiful season... but it brings so much WARMTH to photos of all kinds. As photographers we avoid the harsh mid-day sun with most portraits and weddings, but in fall sometimes it can be as warm and golden as can be mid day because of all that yellow and gold brightening our skies. I LOVE fall! And so sad to see it move on so fast...."
