[PHOTO SHOOT LOCATION] Cliffhanger Photo Session: Part One

I haven't used the word "extreme" in a while, but it seems appropriate to use when describing the photo shoot for this couple.  There are those that hop on the local trail and find a nice overlook, but this is taking a step further, I would say.  This couple rappelled down the side of a vertical rock wall and hung out for a while, smiling into the camera, trying not to show how scared they were.

Believe me when I say that your senses are heightened when you're hanging on the side of a cliff like that.  All else seems to melt away, and you focus so intensely on your foot and hand holds that nothing else matters for a little while.

This has nothing to do with this shoot, but here's some advice anyway.  If couples asked me if they should go outside for a few photos if it looks like it's going to rain, I would say go for it!  Yes, you might get sprinkled on, but then again, you might get an unexpected treat, like a huge rainbow that you could never have prepared for.

This photos in this blog remind me of where and how we're going with this site.  We have built the only online resource dedicated to mountain weddings near the Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone, and Silverthorne areas, and hope that while you get to look at amazing photos and the polished website and blog you see now, know that I've spent lots and lots of time going through photos, talking to vendors, hiking trails, and learning the industry like no one else does.

The final product from this photo shoot are images that no other couple in the world will have.  The clouds, weather and mountains were captured beautifully by an amazing team of phtographers.  Check back for part two of this cliffhanger photo shoot!

I love this black and white image of the couple standing near the cliff edge.
