This gorgeous set of photos are the final installment of the adventures of Scott and Sarah in our first "One Mile High + Two Mile High" blog series. We showed their Denver engagement photo session, and the moments leading up to the ceremony in Part One. Today's blog shows the ceremony, the reception at Timber Ridge (a venue situated at the top of Keystone Resort and is measured at 11,444 feet above sea level), and a Q & A with the newly married couple.

Q. What was the most memorable moment you had at your wedding? Or funniest moment?

A. Its hard to say "best" or most fun. Seeing my wife in that wedding dress for the first time was great. Being around so many distant friends on an absolutely perfect day was wonderful. Dancing with my mother was great. But the gondola ride with our friends down the mountain to finish the night was magical.

Q. What would you do differently looking back? Any "hindsight 20/20" advice you have for couples?

A. I don't think we'd do much differently. We might have allowed for more time to spend with family and friends before and after the day - also don't skimp on food, drinks, or a DJ. All of these things are necessary for a good party.

Q. What resources, vendors, websites, blogs or magazines did you get inspiration or planning help from?

A. Sarah looked at a lot of magazines (the Knot, Rocky Mtn Bride, etc.) We went to wedding shows. This helped Sarah get a handle of all the possible venues and vendors.

Then we just talked to people. We set up meetings - and as they say, you know in about 5 minutes if you like person. We strayed from every person who seemed like a salesperson.

To be honest - Dina gave such good advice we followed her lead in alot of ways. Leon Littlebird was perfect. Her taste and delivery on flowers and decorations was impeccable.

Q. What did you wish you'd known about while planning your mountain wedding?

A. We first thought a mountain wedding would be too expensive. After you run the numbers, mountain weddings are very comparable to things in the front range. In fact, we feel we saved a lot of money for the value.

Q. Do you think vendors should have a presence on our new wedding blog? Why and how would it help them?

A. I had such great experiences with Leon, Jay Kacik (DJ), you guys [creative flowers inc | petal and bean], Zach + Michelle, and Keystone (Alicia H.) - that any publicity you could give them would be great. All of them are good people, great at what they do, and aren't trying to stiff bride's and grooms. You guys represent tremendous value and positivity for very stressful times (even if it is your living).

Q. Do you think a niche wedding site for our area is a good idea?

A. Yes, in terms of an offsite place, emphasizing wonderful views, that is out of the resort's umbrella. Our wedding was simply too big to do some of the smaller venues in Summit.

Q. Were there any DIY projects during the planning of your wedding? Who did what and how much did it cost (approx.) and how long did it take? Any advice for DIY brides?

A. We saved a ton of money on invitations, favors, and signage. Our family loved helping out (no kidding, fed them beer) - it really made them feel a part of things. instead of spending a couple of thousand bucks, we borrowed and made these things for about $50.

Q. What service is worth it to thrown down the extra money for?

A. Well since you asked, Sarah still remarks about the flowers. They are in every picture and added a rustic elegance to the ceremony (even through we had to reneg on the initial design). But also, spend money on a great DJ, food, and booze.

Remember, in an effort to penny pinch don't forget a wedding is a party. Its as much about making sure people have a good time as it is about celebrating your commitment. If you've missed the entire happy "atmosphere" of the day pinching pennies, head to the courthouse instead.
