I was going through all the real mountain weddings, engagement sessions and styled shoots we're preparing to share, but I saw these and decided to share them instead.  Fair warning, these images all don't match.  They aren't as polished as so many of the images you see from the professional wedding photographers.  These are iPhone photos.  Some of my earliest ones.

What does that mean?  Well, I have been experimenting with looks, borders, and filters a lot since then.  And, I feel that my images have gotten better over time.  So, now you now the backstory to the mishmosh of images.  Now, on to the good stuff.

A large grass lawn with several large trees is just to the right of the house in the image above.  That is the Barney Ford Museum.  It is a popular wedding venue during the warm summer months.

Right across the street from the Blue River Plaza and the Breckenridge Welcome Center is the Barney Ford Museum.  We'll save his story for a later featured blog.  He's just one of many characters in the vast history of Breckenridge lore.

This photo and the rest in this blog were taken during my adventures around Breckenridge.  I see these places and know that someone like you is looking for the resources that I know about.  If you take the time to read this blog, I'll share that information with you.

If you want us to help you plan your dream destination wedding in the Rocky Mountains, well, we can do that too.  We're here to show you pretty pictures, tell stories and help you create yours.

Located just west of the intersection for Ski Hill and Park, the Lomax Placer site is filled with history, aspen trees and historic cabins.  Be sure to check the website for the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance for dates and times of demonstrations and tours.

With snow boots and warm coats,  the Lomax Placer site can be visited for a winter photo shoot.  However, the windows will be boarded up, and no demonstrations or tours are available.  But, you can still go stand by cabins and take some photos!

There are mining relics scattered throughout the surrounding areas, so be careful with any children that might visit the area with you.  Across the street is the Mountain Thunder trail that connects with the singletrack that runs through the Cucumber Gulch and nordic center.  But, that's for another blog.  Thanks for reading!
