{ Real Mountain Wedding } Meg + Ben at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado
Most brides come to the Vail Valley or Summit County for a destination wedding in the mountains. For Meg and Ben, this was a local celebration practically in their back yard. Local vendors were very much apart of making their wedding have that local appeal filled with personal details for Vail Valley residents Meg and Ben. The ceremony at The Chapel at Beaver Creek and reception at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail were coordinated beautifully by local wedding planner Christine Ashburn of The Soiree Studio. Other local vendors included Petals & Pours for floral design, Emily Roman for hair, and Ali Cypcar for cupcakes.
The color palette of navy, white, pale greens, and pale peaches was a lovely complement to the stunning backdrop and rustic venues.
Unique, personal details were incorporated throughout the day; gifts of handkerchiefs embroidered with lace from the bride's Alvina Valenta dress, Meg's baby bonnet carried with her bouquet, and more.
Even the main course had a local flavor. The dinner of locally raised beef provided by family friends. One of the best personal touches I've seen was the wedding favors, their bulldog's very own brand of Honeymoon Hot Sauce, with Jim (the bulldog) himself on the label with a grass skirt and lei!
Guests were entertained through the cocktail hour and reception by local bluegrass tunes.
In true Colorado Style, bride Meg switched out her sapphire Badgley Mischka heels for a pair of Colorado cowboy boots for cocktails and dancing.
Overall, a true Colorado celebration. Congratulations Ben and Meg!
