The air is crisp and rain showers are to be expected this time of year in Breckenridge, Colorado. Today's blog show's Brooke and JP's Colorado Engagement by Kelly Lemon Photography. These photos capture the essence of spending a fun day in the hills for your best buddy.
You get all dressed up, you drive up into the mountains with all sorts of props, clothes and opportunities for fun photos. It's an experience in and of itself, and it can be really fun. It should be. And you can then share those fun images of who you are, who your partner is, and what you like to do as a couple.
I've seen couples do slopeside winter wedding ceremonies on skis at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. Afterwards, they slide on snow and laugh. And then have beers. And then get to go out in the historic downtown area of world-class ski town, Breckenridge, Colorado.
Or, choose the Town of Frisco, "Main Street of the Rockies." Dillon has some great lake-side views and opportunities for lawn weddings with pre-wedding meetups at the Tiki Bar.

Brooke is so creative and after starting to plan her wedding realized she wanted to do this as her career and recently launched her wedding planning business! So when we started discussing her engagement shoot, she was ready and excited for some fun ideas! Brooke & JP are such a fun couple! I knew this session would be a favorite. We started the engagement shoot up in the mountains to make sure we caught the beautiful Aspen leaves. Brooke told me about their adorable dog Myla and how it was very important we got some photos with her. So you may notice a cute little pug, who you will see in the background, foreground, or main subject of a few of the photos! Myla plays a fun part in their relationship and is going to be a part of the wedding day too! They definitely are an adventurous mountain couple. We took their jeep up some rough terrain, with the tandem bike in tow - to a beautiful area in the back country. Riding the tandem bike was not as easy as we expected, but these two are always up for a fun experience, and it just made for fun moments and lots of laughter! We had a great time!
