Today's post is about Brandi + Jake: Mammoth Mountain Wedding in California, with images courtesy of Cean One Studios. This was a submission that came in via Two Bright Lights. I had to say yes and share these photos with you. You see, I've been to the Lake Tahoe area (during an epic 20 day snowstorm many moons ago with five foot tall snowdrifts in the middle and sides of the street, but that's another story), but I haven't made it to Mammoth yet. I've seen plenty of pics with the raw peaks in the background as some snowboarder or skier rips a line down a field of powder. If you've skied Colorado's powder that's a few inches, well, good for you. In California, it comes down in feet. Bring your snorkel.

And, similar to the Breckenridge Ski Resort having the highest chairlift in Colorado and the country, "Mammoth is the highest ski resort in California and is notable for the unusually large amount of snowfall it receives compared to other Eastern Sierra peaks—about 400" annually—due to its location in a low gap in the Sierra crest." If you're a mountain lover and haven't been to California yet, well then, now is the time to add that state to your bucket list.

ALBUM STORY

It's not everyday we get to photograph couples in such a stunning and unique location as Mammoth Mountain. We had quite a journey getting to the wedding venue and had such a great time once we were there with Brandi and Jake. Their love for each other is undeniable!

Everyone were real troopers in the snow as we shot their romantics and wedding party portraits on the top of the icy mountain.

The venue and views were so breathtaking and Brandi and Jake were so creative with all of the wedding details. We loved seeing their personal touches throughout the day, including a guestbook with their engagement photos, gorgeous paper goods by Joanne Monroe for Cloud Nine Paper, their favorite flowers, custom napkins, and the brown bear cake toppers by Sue were not to be missed!

Special thanks to Holly from HMC Event Solutions and Darla, our Mammoth contact were fabulous to work with and the wedding went off without a hitch. We were so impressed by how seamless everything was, sending hugs and a major Thank You to everyone involved. Brandi and Jake, we wish you two the absolute best.
