Today's post is all about Alisha + Jonathan: Rainy Day Engagement in North Carolina with images courtesy of Eleveneleven Films and Photography. I spent a summer in North Carolina and it has some wonderful hills and terrain that are worthy of this blog, which is why you're looking at this dramatic set of images. The contrast and muted colors are striking and invoke a certain emotion that's raw and powerful.
I liked how the couple wandered through the woods throughout the shoot. It reminded me of my wife and I as we wander through the trees in search of hidden spots and off-the-beaten path locations. Curiosity is definitely part of what keeps me going out exploring, and I'm lucky to have a partner with that same drive. It makes for fun exploring! If we would have had engagement photos (we didn't), this is what I would have gone for. Something super cool like these. I hope you like them as much as I did.

Alisha and Jonathan have been together for about six years, but their love burns brighter than ever, even in the POURING rain. These guys watched the the dark, rain clouds coming over the horizon, and still said "let's do it." Alisha and Jonathan climbed stumps and rocks and boulders, and trudged through the mud that surrounds Rattlesnake Lake without a complaint. These guys are used to exercise, because they actually met and fell in love in a gym. After repeatedly asking her out, Alisha finally said yes and they have been together ever since. Grab a warm drink and try not to get too cold watching these guys freeze by the lake!
