Allyn + Jake: Breckenridge, Colorado Elopement at Sapphire Point
Outdoor Ceremony at Sapphire Point
Today's post is all about Allyn + Jake: Breckenridge, Colorado Elopement at Sapphire Point with images courtesy of Keeping Composure Photography. This set of images is actually from a couple and event that we helped put together. The location is a beautiful overlook on Lake Dillon, and the couple was joined only by the photographer and officiant. The air was cool enough for the bride to wear a shoulder cover while they posed for a few pics after the ceremony. Emily, the photographer then took the couple to a nearby shoreline for even more images. Simple and full of love.
Destination Weddings and Elopements in Breckenridge, Colorado
Some couples have the time to work on all the details and may even live in Colorado and come up to the mountains regularly. Others live far away, and want some help putting together the details in a custom wedding package. Emily has worked with us on a number of packages, as she does a great job. If you'd like us to help put together a fun-filled day with Emily and other vendors we know and can suggest, then please contact us to learn more. We know of a few choice spots for outdoor ceremonies, but if you're up for an adventure wedding, then we know of lots of trails and mountains that will be perfect. Hop in a AWD and head up a secluded mountain for a remote elopement on the side of the Continental Divide. Or, cruise Lake Dillon in a pontoon. Other couples have mountain biked to their location for vows. To each their own, so tell us, what's yours?
Their Story
They started their intimate ceremony by reading notes each had written for the other, standing nearby without turning around yet. We lucked out with some early snowfall in autumn, which covered the mountain peaks in the background. Peak One stood in the distance as they exchanged vows at Sapphire Point. We shot a few more photos up there before heading to a second location.
Allyn & Jake were drawn to the mountains, and even more so drawn to the water. We went to the Frisco Marina and walked down on the lake bed - one of the few times during the year you can walk down there when it hasn't frozen over yet! They were definitely in their element, and it showed! Allyn had her grandmother's gorgeous fur shawl, which was a great touch and also kept her warm when any wind came off the lake. The whole afternoon was Summit County autumn perfected! (And now their duo will soon be a trio - they are excited to be due with their first child this February!)
