Kristin + Matt: Denver, Colorado Engagement Photography
Denver Engagement Photography
Today's post is all about Kristin + Matt: Denver, Colorado Engagement Photography with images courtesy of Kayla Feldman Photography. We are mountain people, but for a city, Denver is our favorite. Lots of parks, open space nearby and a road leading right up to the mountains! Denver is where us mountain folk head when it's still cold up here. And, if for some reason the mountains aren't working out for your engagement session, there are plenty of options in the downtown and foothills near Denver. And, if you're lucky enough, perhaps the photographer that shoots your engagement will join you up in the mountains for the nuptials!
Colorado Engagements, Elopements and Destination Weddings
We know of some Denver couples that choose their local neighborhood and stomping grounds for their engagement photos, and then choose the Breckenridge and Summit County area as the destination for the wedding. Have friends and family fly into town, spend a day or two in Denver and then bring them up to the high hills. If you need help and ideas for the mountain areas, if you're not completely familiar, then we can help. These smaller mountain towns do see Denver locals come up and work, and some produce amazing photos and provide excellent service. But, we have to always say that travel time and other variables can and will be a factor at some point for the mountain wedding. If you want to consider it, then please check out some of the package ideas we've put together, and then contact us to learn more about how we can help you best.
ALBUM STORY
Kristin and Matt’s met on Christian Mingle and their first date was coffee and walking around Cheesman Park (where we took our engagement photos). The next day was Kristin’s birthday and Matt took her out for birthday dessert. They were both going to visit family for Christmas soon after that, so they wanted to squeeze one more date in before they parted ways for the holiday. Their third date was two days after Kristin’s birthday, and they talked on the phone almost every day until we saw each other again right after New Years.
Kristin and Matt got engaged in early May. They both had taken some time off in early May with plans to travel together and they were going to call it our spring break. Their travel plans ended up falling through so they took advantage of some time off together in Denver.
On the last day of their “spring break,” they said goodbye for the night and then Matt called Kristin saying that he was missing his wallet and asking to come back to her place to look for it. When Matt got back to Kristin’s place and rang the doorbell, she could see through the frosted glass of her front door that he wasn’t standing up, and she wondered if he was on the ground looking for his wallet. When Kristin opened the door, he was on one knee and asking her to marry him. Kristin said yes immediately. Best spring break ever!
