Disclosure Statement // Get the scoop on Summit Mountain Weddings

This will probably be the most boring blog on this site.  You don't have to read any further if you're looking for a real mountain wedding feature, or want to read advice from one of our local wedding pro guest bloggers.

No, in this post, you'll only find out how this site plans to operate.  As small business owners in the wedding industry, we had to examine many different forms of advertising and marketing out there.  And while we believe there is no 'one size fits all' solution for everyone, we believe this site will definitely help our community connections reach a new level.

We already had plans for a wedding-specific website for our shop.  This is just a huge leap from that, and is more focused on showing off everyone's work, and not just ours.  But, a guy's gotta make a buck.  And yes, there a lot of wedding websites out there, and we did not want to reinvent the wheel, so we'll direct you towards relevant resources and our site will be of a more hyperlocal focus.

This document was first created on May 16, 2011, and will be updated as necessary.  It is in accordance with FTC regulations that asks all bloggers to disclose any paid relationships between products, services, or companies that appear as content.

This wedding website / blog was created by a local Breckenridge wedding company who identified the lack of a dedicated online planning resource for the Summit County region that effectively used blogging, social media, forums and other new media opportunities to help promote the local wedding vendors and options in our neck of the woods.

We have employed local professional graphic designers, programmers, photographers and others to create the web site that you now gaze upon.  However, this is not a hobby.  We are not basement bloggers, and have a real brick-and-mortar store with bills and internet costs to address, and that is why we will gladly accept payment to help promote our fellow wedding service providers to be on our site, share their stories and provide helpful advice.

We've designed this blog to share as many real weddings as possible, and will feature sponsored blog posts from advertising companies, as well as non-paid  guest blogs from real local wedding pros who want to share their lessons learned.  But, we wanted to offer a place to share their time-sensitive special or mud season offering.

Affiliate links will be used when available for products and services recommended through this blog.

Blogvertorials, or a sponsored blog editorial, will share that it's a paid post by a particular company.

Tweets mentioning paying members will be denoted with a [swp] which will denote the Summit Wedding Pro affiliation with our site.    General conversations with advertisers will not be disclosed.
