{ Winter Engagement } David + Murielle at the Ice Castles in Silverthorne, Colorado //

New to Summit County, Colorado this year are the Ice Castles in Silverthorne.  Located just north of the Silverthorne Pavillion, this unique setting is created by hand by "Brent Christensen, Ice Castle creator, started experimenting with icicles to create a large ice formation in his front yard. His children called it “an ice castle,” and the name stuck."

I write an article on Examiner.com, as I have been selected as the Breckenridge Wedding Planner Examiner, and Kim Larson of Life is Art Photo saw my post and decided it would be a great fit for her clients.  We appreciate Kim giving us a shout out at the end of her blog, and hope any other readers, photographers or couples that gain inspiration from this blog will share their photos for us to share in the future!

The following text is from Kim's blog.  Please mention this blog if you give her a shout!

"Dayvid and Murielle were engaged on December 28th at a Denver Nuggets game, while the entire crowd watched on the jumbotron. And what better way to compliment a winter engagement than some winter engagement photos too! All photos were taken at the Ice Castles in the rocky mountain town of Silverthorne, Colorado. The session started off during the day, but we later returned for some nighttime photos in the illuminated castles as well. It may have been icy, but these photos are steamy! ;)

I’d also like to thank Petal and Bean, a fine floral design studio in Breckenridge, for giving us the heads up on the Ice Castles this year!

Dayvid and Murielle – thank you for making the trip to Silverthorne! It was great getting to know you both and to hear your wonderful story!

~keep smiling!
Kim"
