Local Highlights for Breckenridge, Colorado: a Skate Park, Riverside Trails and Picnic Tables

This morning on my bike commute to work, I stopped by the skate park for a few minutes to take a few photos.  I am a long boarder myself, so dropping in the bowl isn't necessarily my style, but this blog isn't about me.  It's about you.  It's about the families that are planning weddings and trips to the Colorado Rocky Mountains this summer.

I know a few of the families visiting will have some skateboarders along for the trip, and so, I'll be sharing some skate spots on the blog throughout the summer and tell you where I think the best spots are.  For starters, the skate park is located next to the Breckenridge Recreation Center on Airport Road.

Please contact us if you're a skateboarding bride and groom getting married near Breckenridge, Summit County or even the Vail Valley.  We've got lots of ideas for creative adventure engagement or wedding photography sessions that we're planning on creating for our blog, so let us know if you'd like to help and get featured on our blog!

The bike path starts in town and runs next to the Blue River all the way to Frisco.  You can opt for the Peaks Trail, the more strenuous singletrack path to Frisco, but we'll save that for another blog.  The easy riding bike path also has a few dirt paths along the way.  This one is near the recreation center and skate park.  It follows the kayak park near the Kingdom Park fields near the recreation complex.

These three guys had the bowl all to themselves, but only one had a helmet on.  It is strongly recommended to wear a helmet when skateboarding in this skate park provided by the Town of Breckenridge.  I know it's probably not cool to wear a helmet, but it's probably even more not cool to have a traumatic injury just because you didn't want to wear a helmet.  Unless you're skating like a pro, wear a helmet.  Please.

Skateboarding bride and grooms?  Yes!  Let's do this.  There's also a skatepark in Frisco and another in Silverthorne.   Look for those blogs in the future.  Thanks for reading!
