Elise + Kevin at the Grand Hall at Copper Mountain, Colorado
We went from an extended Fall straight into Winter with over 70" of snow in the last few weeks, and that means it's perfect timing to share some photos from Elise + Kevin at the Grand Hall at Copper Mountain, Colorado, images courtesy of Julia Vandenoever Photography. The ceremony took place at a new church in Summit County, the Our Lady of Peace Church in Silverthorne. Just after the ceremony is snowing heavily and the wintery experience was completely visible as the snow fell outside the windows at the reception venue. Snow cats traveled up and down the ski slopes just outside, maintaining the snow for all the skiers and snowboarders that visit the Copper Mountain Ski Resort. If you're looking to put together a package for your destination wedding in the mountain towns near Breckenridge, Summit County and the Vail Valley, then please check out the first of our packages that just went live (more to be added soon), or contact us with your event information to get the planning process started. Thanks for reading and have a Happy Thanksgiving weekend!
Our inspiration for our wedding was elegant simplicity. We were excited to throw a huge party for all the people we love most in this world, however tried to stay simple to help with cost and still be classic. I wanted lots of dynamics and textures so had all my bridesmaids pick out their own dresses with different fabrics and colors in the blueish green realm. Groomsmen just wore a black tux and we found ties for them. I would tell future brides don't stress and vendors now what they are doing. We didn't have a tasting Our dessert was homemade We never meet our videographer until the day of our wedding We didn't send a list of our favorite music to the dj My number one priority was amazing pictures and video, Kevin's was good food and open bar for the guests. Having a wedding In the mountain breath taking, we highly recommend it! Flowers: We wanted our bouquets looked like little mountain tops with the soft white and peeking greens and browns. Snow was a must and it happened almost like we planned it...it was magical.
