Meg + Ben at Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado
Let me explain to you a little about the two Vail Valley wedding venues used in the celebration for Meg + Ben at Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado, with images courtesy of Tara Low Photography, submitted via Two Bright Lights (we are an editorial partner with 2BL). Just west of Vail is the Town of Avon, and the home of the Beaver Creek Ski Resort. There you can find the Beaver Creek Chapel, where the wedding ceremony was held. Then, guests took and a short drive and headed back to Vail's Donovan Pavilion for the reception. Thre's also the Vail Interfaith Chapel, but these locations book quickly on weekends, so please contact us if you're trying to put together a destination wedding experience from afar.
At first this might look like a destination wedding, but for Vail Valley couple Meg and Ben, it was an elegant local celebration filled with personal details, and showcasing the work of talented area vendors. The ceremony at The Chapel at Beaver Creek and reception at the Donovan Pavilion in Vail were coordinated beautifully by local wedding planner Christine Ashburn of The Soiree Studio. Other local vendors included Petals & Pours for floral design, Emily Roman for hair, and Ali Cypcar for cupcakes. The day was one of those warm, bluebird, absolutely PERFECT early fall days in the Vail Valley, when the aspens were just barely changing. The color palette of navy, white, pale greens, and pale peaches was a lovely complement to the stunning backdrop and rustic venues. This bride and groom - and their family and friends - were a joy to photograph. Unique, personal details were incorporated throughout the day; gifts of handkerchiefs embroidered with lace from the bride's Alvina Valenta dress, Meg's baby bonnet carried with her bouquet, and the dinner of locally raised beef provided by family friends. One of my favorite touches was the favors, their bulldog pup's very own brand of Honeymoon Hot Sauce, with Jim himself on the label with a grass skirt and lei! Guests were entertained through the cocktail hour and reception by local bluegrass tunes. In true Colorado Style, bride Meg switched out her sapphire Badgley Mischka heels for a pair of Colorado cowboy boots for cocktails and dancing. Overall, a true Colorado celebration. Congratulations Ben and Meg! Cheers to livin' the good life!
