International Snow Sculpting Championships

Every January in a downtown parking lot, our little mountain town becomes a magical place, hosting the  2015 International Snow Sculpting Championships in Breckenridge, Colorado. Teams from around the world carve up huge blocks of snow, that was transported, and then stomped on by enthusiastic locals. Visitors flock to see the completed structures, which stand for another two weeks after a week of carving. The week of carving is a haven for photographers, as teams use their tools to shape the snow into the dreams that they brought with them. Wander early or late, they're lit up a night for late visitors, and you will truly be walking in a winter wonderland.
