After arriving in Milan and hopping a train south to Naples, we immediately boarded a ferry to a place that I think would make a great wedding adventure, or if you've recently married in Colorado, then you can go Hiking the Amalfi Coast, and Honeymoon in Capri, Italy. Europe is on the bucket list for a lot of people, especially Italy, and for good reason. The country's rich history and varied terrain offer a multitude of experiences from urban adventuring to cliffside towns on the Amalfi Coast, to cultural explorations in the ancient churches.

Travel by Water Taxi or Bus

English is widely spoken in the touristy areas, but be prepared for non-English encounters in the smaller towns. Capri is a short distance from the coast of Naples and daily water taxis offer transportation between Naples, Positano and other coastal towns. I wouldn't recommend driving. The roads are tight and are not the faint of heart. The buses are cheaper, but are unpredictable at times, and can be crowded. We waited for over an hour in Positano on the weekend after walking the popular hike, the "Path of the Gods."

But, looking back, Capri set the tone for the rest of our travels, and was hard to beat. We stayed at the family-run Capri Wine Hotel, which hands down, had the best breakfast set up. An outdoor seating area provided views of the water, with Vesuvius in the distance, while the staff made trips back to the main lodge, bringing out cups of freshly made cappuccinos, baked goods and omelets.
